Watercolor House Portrait for Gift to Parents
Completed on August 3, this 9″ x 12″ watercolor painting depicts a family’s home of 28 years in Manchester, Missouri and was a gift to the parents from their four grown children. The parents sold the home and downsized many years ago, and their children knew a keepsake portrait of it as it looked when they all lived there would really touch their parent’s hearts. When they saw it yesterday, they were delighted with the portrayal and look forward to displaying it where they live now. I hope it brings many warm memories!
Print Edition of the New York Times Arrived!
So happy to receive the June 30 New York Times newspaper featuring my artwork!
Being in the Midwest, I had to order the NY Edition and it was such a delight when it arrived! The portrait featured in the story is a 16″x 20″ watercolor painting I created for Joe and Mary Olk of Chesterfield, Missouri, and it was an honor to be selected.

Watercolor Painting of Orchard Park, NY Home
Completed on July 17, this 8″ x 10″ watercolor portrays a family’s long-time home in Orchard Park, New York. The artwork shows the property the way the family wished to remember it, including the garden area with red, pink and white begonias, and the the crab apple tree in lovely full bloom. I hope their custom house portrait brings wonderful, warm memories of the many years they lived at this residence.

Pen and Ink Portrait of Shaker Heights, Ohio Home
Most of the time, clients request a watercolor painting of their home or business, but every so often I’m asked to create a pen and ink, and I’m always thrilled. So it was for this newly completed 10″ x 16″ illustration of this home in Shaker Heights, Ohio, commissioned by my client as a gift to her son and daughter-in-law — how thoughtful! As you can see, my pen and ink artwork is rich in detail and character and I hope the couple will love the distinctive look.
