Watercolor Painting of French Country Style Home
The first house portrait of 2019 is a custom sized 10″ x 15″ watercolor of a beautiful French Country inspired brick residence in Collierville, Tennessee. The artwork was commissioned to be a birthday gift from a husband to his wife, and the landscape includes all her favorite flowering plants of the front garden in full bloom. I hope she will be delighted by her husband’s thoughtful gift and enjoy this custom house portrait for many years to come!
Watercolor House Portrait Turned Into Greeting Card
Hope the new year is off to a good start for you and your family!
Over the holidays, I received this 5″x 7″ Christmas greeting card from a family in Pennsylvania and it made me smile. On the front is the image of the 15″ x 24″watercolor house portrait I did for them earlier in 2018, showing their lovely residence in festive holiday decor while their two children and dog play in the snow. I was happy to give permission to use the artwork image when they asked, and now see that it reproduced beautifully on the small format. I hope the family enjoyed sending their unique Christmas card to family and friends!

Framed Portrait of Waterloo, Illinois Home
It’s always wonderful when clients show me how nicely their house portrait looks when framed, and I am grateful for their thoughtfulness! This photo shows the 10″x 18″ watercolor portrait of a 150 year old home in Waterloo, Illinois, that was given as a Christmas gift, and the handsome wooden frame made by my client’s brother-in-law using barn wood from the property — such a meaningful and unique gift! My client let me know her parents loved it and were very moved by the artwork and frame and I’m so glad they were pleased!
Watercolor Painting of Family’s Business Property
This 9″x 12″ watercolor painting depicts a commercial property, Dale Hardware, located in Richmond Heights, Missouri that had been the location of a family’s business for many years. The property was depicted the way my client wanted to remember it with signage, flowers in the front, and stacked bags of merchandise at the entrance. My client had fine art reproduction archival prints made for Christmas gifts for each of her family members, and I hope the artwork and keepsake prints bring many fond memories!
