Very Meaningful House Portrait Gift
This photo was sent to me on January 22, and it made me happy to see it! It’s always wonderful to see the recipients of my house portraits, and very special thanks goes to Sherrie Bull for sending this photo of her husband Steven holding the watercolor painting of his childhood home in Saint Louis, Missouri he received as a gift for Christmas. Steven’s mother had recently passed away, and Sherrie knew he would appreciate a portrait of the longtime family home where he grew up with cherished memories of her. I loved seeing how beautifully the artwork was framed, but it was even better to see the smile on Steven’s face and to know how much the artwork means to him. I hope this custom home portrait brings him fond memories for many years to come!

Completed on January 20th , this 10″ x 18″ watercolor painting portrays a magnificent Country French Manor style residence located in Ladue, Missouri. Built by Freeman Homes LLC, an award-winning custom home builder based in Clayton, this property has wonderful Old World beauty and character, including extensive exterior stonework, and was definitely interesting to depict. Watercolor Portrait of Elegant Home
The first house portrait of 2017, completed on January 11, is a 10″x 18″ watercolor of a gorgeous, large brick home in Ladue, Missouri, commissioned by the homeowners. The exterior of this 5,775 square foot residence has many interesting features… the French doors with stylish railing on the balcony, arched breezeway connecting the residence to the separate garage, the handsome arched front entryway and door, and several very nice windows. Such a beautiful home!

Watercolor Portrait of Des Peres Home
Just completed on December 31st, ( the final house portrait of 2016! ), this 9″ x 12″ watercolor painting depicts a large, 2-story, newer residence in Des Peres, Missouri. The artwork was commissioned with a gift certificate purchase by good friends of the young couple who live here and when framed will make a very nice addition to their home! The exterior of the home is constructed of multi-toned neutral and brownish bricks, which were rendered using the tiniest brush to create the desired representational look — a bit time consuming, but so worth it! I hope the young couple enjoys framing their custom house portrait and living in this beautiful home for many years to come!
