Recipients Unwrap Their House Portrait Gift

I wish it were possible to always watch as recipients unwrap their house portrait gifts and see them for the first time! I can when local clients pick up their artwork, and it’s always a joy to see their face light up with smiles. When out-of town clients show me photos, it’s very thoughtful and appreciated — it’s the next best thing to being there! This past weekend, on January 23, the parents of my client Samantha G received the watercolor painting of their lake house she and her siblings ordered for them as a gift when they were finally able to celebrate Christmas together. Special thanks to Samantha for showing me these photos — as you can see, her parents were surprised and delighted! This is the second home portrait I’ve created for them — the first was a watercolor portrait of their residence commissioned by Samantha and her siblings in 2019 and you can see it hanging on the wall behind them in a very nice mat and frame. Best wishes to this mother and father who are very loved by their family — I wish them many more enjoyable weekends together at their lake house retreat! If you would like to surprise your own parents with a beautiful custom house portrait of their residence, call me at 314-892-9221 to reserve a spot on my 2021 calendar — I will be happy to create it for them!
Watercolor Portrait of Lake House for Gift
What a very special place! The first custom house portrait of 2021 portrays a rustic lake house property in Ticonderoga, New York and is a gift from adult children to their parents. This 8″ x 12″ watercolor includes some of the nicely landscaped area that surrounds the cabin, including where the family enjoys campfires, and a view of Rogers Rock across the lake in the distance — all important to show. I hope this artwork will remind the parents and their family of the many enjoyable weekends they spent there over the years — and many more yet to come! If you have a special home or business property you would like beautifully represented in an original piece of art, contact me to reserve a spot on my 2021 calendar, 314-892-9221.
House Portraits Resume After Holiday Break
Hope your 2021 is going well so far and the new year looks promising for you! After a very enjoyable Christmas holiday break, I’m now back at my drawing table and resuming house portrait work. I’m currently creating a watercolor of a family’s lake house in Ticonderoga, New York that will be a gift from adult children to their parents — so thoughtful! This is the second portrait I’ve been commissioned to do for them and I’m very excited to provide such a meaningful gift. If you have a special home or business property that you would like portrayed for yourself or someone special, contact me at 314-892-9221 to reserve a spot on my 2021 schedule. I will be happy to create a beautiful watercolor painting or black/white pen and ink illustration for you. It looks to be another busy year!

A Special House For My Little Grandson
Thought I would share a special “house” I created…. a playhouse for my little grandson made of empty cardboard boxes! ( you know how much kids love them!) I built it in extra space in my basement earlier this year, and recently decorated it with holiday lights and decorations for him to enjoy for when he visits. His Christmas gifts were placed in one of the “rooms” — he loved it! To do the same for your special little one, some large empty boxes, heavy tape, an Exacto knife, and some creativity was all it took to build the playhouse itself — with your imagination the sky is the limit on what you can do!
