Watercolor Depicts Inviting Home in Brentwood, Missouri
This 11″ x 15″ watercolor portrait depicts an inviting home in Brentwood, Missouri and was a joy to portray! The homeowners have lived there for seven years and wished to have a portrait showing their landscape in lovely full bloom. The white dogwood tree, white hydrangea, purple clematis, and colorful zinnias provide life and beauty to their front yard. If your home is special to your family and you would like it portrayed, contact me here. I am now taking orders for May and June.

Archival Prints Made From Original Artwork
One of the nice things about giving a custom house portrait as a gift is that archival prints can be made from the original artwork! The prints can then be given to family, as my client Caroline ordered for herself and brother after the portrait was created for their parents. The 11″ x 14″ prints shown are a smaller version of the 12″ x 18″ original artwork that was created for the parents. The local printer I use can even print on watercolor paper so the look and feel is nearly identical to the actual artwork! Each print has a handwritten title and signed by me, then packaged in a clear envelope. Many clients appreciate having prints as mementos!

Watercolor House Portrait of Residence in Buffalo, NY
This watercolor house portrait of a lovely residence in Buffalo, New York will be a gift from my client to her parents. They purchased the home in 1997, raised their two children here, and may be downsizing soon. Whether they do or not, my client and her brother knew a custom house portrait would be a perfect gift for them! The 12″x 18″ artwork includes the family’s two beloved dogs in the driveway and a watchful American bald eagle in a treetop — very meaningful touches! I hope the portrait brings many wonderful memories for each of them!

A Wonderful Surprise From a Thoughtful Client!
What a wonderful surprise from a very thoughtful client!
This beautiful arrangement of red roses and a thank you card was given to me on January 20th by Connie McArthur — such a sweet thing to do! She had commissioned a watercolor portrait of her husband Mike’s childhood home for his Christmas gift, and several family members ordered archival prints of the artwork as a keepsake of where their beloved relatives had lived for over 62 years. Connie gave me the flowers and card when she picked up the prints, and I was so touched when she described how much the house portrait meant to her husband as well as his immediate and extended family members. It was an honor to provide such a special gift!

The First Custom House Portrait of 2024
This is the first custom house portrait of 2024, and it portrays a beautiful white frame home in Des Peres, Missouri. This 11″ x 18″ pen and ink with watercolor artwork is a gift from a father to his son and his family to commemorate their recent purchase of this home — a very thoughtful thing to do! This is the fourth home portrait I’ve provided for members of this family, and the second for this son. It’s very gratifying to create this unique piece of art that will become part of this family’s history! If you’d like your family’s home portrayed, contact me here.
