Pen and Ink with Watercolor of California Home
This 7″x 11″ pen and ink with watercolor portrait depicts a home in Calabasas, California with gorgeous style. The family is moving and wished to have the artwork to add to their collection displayed on their wall. This is the second custom house portrait I’ve provided for this client and I hope it brings many fond memories!

Special Artwork Gift Created for Dear Friends
I had some time between house portraits last week to create this special artwork gift for dear friends. Their beloved 8 year old brown Labrador, Benelli, passed away several weeks ago and it was a huge loss. When I was told of Benelli’s passing, I decided to make some time to portray him. I completed this 7″x 10″ mixed media portrait last week, and presented it to my friends Andrea and Davis yesterday, and they were so touched. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet, and I hope this portrait brings my friends many sweet memories of their years with Benelli.
Back to portraying homes this week and I’m now working on a beautiful residence in Calabasas, California — will post when complete!

What a gorgeous location for a home! This newly completed house portrait portrays a family’s residence near Denver, Colorado, complete with a beautiful sunset in back. This 8″ x 12″ watercolor was a gift from the wife’s father to her and her husband — what a thoughtful thing to do! The artwork includes their front landscape in colorful full bloom, low mountains in the distance, and a lovely sunset — very picturesque!

Back At My Drawing Table Today!
My break is over and I’m happy to be back at my drawing table today! I’m beginning a watercolor portrait of a family’s home in Colorado with the sunset behind it — should be lovely!
My break was very eventful! In addition to all the things planned here at home, I spent a full week in Washington, DC visiting family members. It was an amazing time to be in that city during the inauguration of President Donald Trump. The weather was frigid, but we walked most places or took the Metro train. We toured our national museums — the Museums of Natural History, American History, Air and Space Museum, National Archives, the Holocaust Museum, Lincoln Memorial, and of course, the National Gallery of Art. Each left profound experiences I’ll always remember. We got as close as possible to the most famous house in our country — the White House! And, as you can imagine, it was inspiring and wonderful to see the magnificent, ornate architecture of so many historic, impressive buildings!

It’s great to be back home and I look forward to another busy year creating custom house portraits. I’m now taking orders for Spring and Summer. If you have any questions, or wish to place an order, call me at (314) 892-9221, or send me a message here
