Watercolor Portrait of Virginia Lake House Back Side
After completing the watercolor portrait of the front of this Virginia lake house ( see post below) I began the back side view and it was a joy to depict! This 13″ x 25″ watercolor painting is the companion to the front view portrait featuring the same handsome rustic and contemporary architecture. The artwork includes two sets of patio furniture, several hanging flower baskets, the American flag, a very unique birdhouse, and even their statue of a black bear climbing up the roof — all touches that make this property so special!
Watercolor Portrait of Lake House in Virginia
This lake house in Virginia was so interesting to depict — this stone and cedar spacious property combines rustic charm with contemporary style and the look is so inviting! The homeowner’s love of nature and the outdoors is so handsomely shown in the design of this lake house and it’s such a treat for the eyes and soul! The 13″x 23″ watercolor artwork includes their four exquisite handmade rocking chairs, impressive hand-carved front door, hanging baskets on the porch, and a peak of the lake on both sides with their dock on the right side. I hope this family enjoys many, many more fantastic weekends at this amazing property!
Watercolor Portrait of Madison, New Jersey Home
This 8″ x 14″ watercolor of a Madison, New Jersey home and landscape was a delight to create for my client Samantha. This is the third custom house portrait I’ve provided for her to give as a gift, and this one will be given to her future mother and father in-law. Samantha provided great photos of the property, including flowers and plants gracing the front and I hope the recipients will be pleased with this thoughtful and unique gift from her and their son!
House Portrait of a Family’s New Residence
This 10″ x 16″ pen and ink with watercolor house portrait of a family’s beautiful new residence in Sunset Hills, Missouri was a joy to portray! This is the third home I’ve depicted for this local client over the years and it was wonderful to see her and her family again — and see how much the three children have grown since I’d seen them last! This current home is very spacious, so they will likely stay for many years and create great memories there!
Trip to Scenic Chattanooga, Tennessee

One day after returning from Sedalia, Missouri with my husband, my grown daughter and I drove to scenic Chattanooga, Tennessee and just returned on June 17. I am so glad we went — Chattanooga is a charming and scenic city and very pedestrian-friendly. It is nestled along the banks of the Tennessee River and surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains and the views are nothing short of breathtaking! In our five day stay, we visited impressive Rock City, went on a dinner river cruise, visited a shopping district with trendy boutiques and art galleries, and on our last night we joined a historic ghost tour of the downtown area — all fantastic experiences! I snapped lots of photos and perhaps one day I’ll paint a watercolor portrait of one of the many beautiful scenic views of nature that abound!
