Watercolor Portrait of Home on Historic Old Highway 66

I’m currently working on a watercolor portrait of an interesting home in Arcadia, Oklahoma. It is located on an original stretch of historic Old Highway 66, and was designed to resemble a 1930s vintage, Phillips 66 cottage-style, filling station from decades past. The husband and wife homeowners are both dedicated and passionate advocates for this highway. Husband Jim Ross is a noted Route 66 historian, author and preservationist, and his wife Shellee Graham is an accomplished photographer, graphic designer, and author. Together, they use their talents to inspire interest and promote this historic highway, including its landmarks.
