Watercolor of beautiful home in Winnetka, Illinois

Just completed on May 7th… an 8″x 12″ watercolor portrait of a beautiful and tasteful stone and brick 2-story residence in Winnetka, Illinois. The artwork was commissioned to be a gift for parents who have recently moved. This particular home faces north, so it does not receive sun on the front, but I portrayed it with sunlight and shadows, which makes the property really come alive — it’s a great example of using creative license to create the most aesthetically pleasing portrait possible. I hope this custom house portrait will bring fond memories of the many years spent in this gorgeous home!
