Visit to Columbia, Missouri

I took a break from painting on Saturday Oct 1st  to drive to Columbia, Missouri with my husband Chuck to visit our youngest son Chaz, a senior at Mizzou. We visited Harpo’s, a popular 3-story sports bar/restaurant in a historic brick building in the heart of downtown Columbia. Chaz took this nice photo of Chuck and I as we were admiring the handsome interior — perhaps I’ll do a pen and ink or watercolor portrait of this building one day. In the meantime, on Sunday, I took photos of a sorority house on campus that I’ll be portraying in a watercolor portrait early in 2017…. it was good to see and photograph the flowers and plants while still in bloom before the first frost of the season!
