Very Special Portrait for My Family

I recently took some time to create a very special portrait for my daughter and two grandchildren. Their precious little dog “Alley-Oop”, an adorable 15- year old Schipperke Pomeranian mix, passed away of old age and they were heartbroken.  They had so many fond memories of her during their young years, so I created this 8″x 10″ mixed media artwork to commemorate her.  They loved her tiny face and how fluffy she was, and that’s what I made sure to capture. Then, I embellished the portrait with gold and iridescent glitter rays illuminating her to convey to my grandchildren the idea that their sweet Alley-Oop is happily in Dog Heaven. They were so touched when I gave them the portrait and they saw her smiling face!
