This home had hosted many family events over several decades and archival prints are being made to give to family members as a memento — a very thoughtful thing to do! This watercolor house portrait of a lovely residence in Buffalo, New York will be a gift from my client to her parents. They purchased the home in 1997, raised their two children here, and may be downsizing soon. Whether they do or not, my client and her brother knew a custom house portrait would be a perfect gift for them! The 12″x 18″ artwork includes the family’s two beloved dogs in the driveway and a watchful American bald eagle in a treetop — very meaningful touches! I hope the portrait brings many wonderful memories for each of them!

This 3 story frame home in the Hampton Park neighborhood of Richmond Heights, Missouri was so interesting to portray! The 10″ x 13″ watercolor house portrait is a gift to the husband and wife homeowners from her thoughtful parents. This 111 year old house has a sunroom, an upper balcony, two sets of French doors, bay windows, and lovely landscape that made it a delight to depict. I hope they and their family enjoy many more years living in this gorgeous residence! It was a joy to see how happy this recipient was of the custom house portrait I recently completed for her! Watercolor Portrait for Gift to Homeowners
This 11″x 15″ watercolor house portrait portrays a young couple’s stately brick home in University City, Missouri. The artwork is the result of a gift certificate given by their family member, and this allowed the couple to work with me directly to give input for the portrayal of their home. They requested their dog be included in the portrait — a sweet touch!

This handsome brick and stone residence in Clayton, Missouri was so interesting to depict! The husband ordered this 14″ x 21″ watercolor painting as a gift to his wife in celebration of their recent purchase of this home and I hope they will be proud to display it inside! The artwork portrays the plants, flowers and trees in the landscape as they anticipate they will bloom next spring — so beautiful! I hope they enjoy living in this property for many years to come! I wish it were possible to be present when recipients of my custom house portraits see theirs for the first time. So very special thanks go to my clients Al and Nancy Meyers for sharing this photo of their dear friends, Mike and Anna, receiving their 9″ x 13″ watercolor painting of their home in Sunset Hills, Missouri earlier this week. Al and Nancy knew how much Mike, Anna, and their family loved their home of 32 years and thought a house portrait would be appreciated for the fond memories it will bring — from their joyful smiles in the photo, they were right!
