This unique and magical museum for children was a true joy to portray! This 10″ x 18″ pen and ink with watercolor portrait depicts one of the most beloved cultural attraction venues in St. Louis, Missouri — The Magic House Children’s Museum. The artwork was commissioned by the organization’s president, Beth Fitzgerald, and given as a gift to a retiring board member at a dinner party in her honor on August 15. The artwork will be a sweet reminder of the many years of dedicated service bringing wonderful and memorable hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity, imagination, creativity, and laughter for children in an extraordinary place of wonder, joy and magic!
Since the opening in 1979, The Magic House has undergone a series of additions and renovations that expanded the museum space from 5,500 square feet to over 55,000 square feet among four levels. The Magic House has gained national recognition as one of the top children’s museums and attracts more than 560,000 visitors each year.
