SOME TIPS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN TAKING PHOTOS OF YOUR PROPERTY:
~ Most homes are more flattering when shot from a slight angle. To show detail, zoom into that area from the same angle. If unsure which view is best, photograph the property from several angles, including “straight on” and I will select the most appropriate.
~ Typically, where a garage and driveway are part of a home, it is more flattering to photograph with those features at the far end of the composition.
~ Close-up shots of any special features should also be provided.
~ DO photograph when the sun is directly on the front of the home — early morning or late afternoon is best for most homes. Don’t shoot when the home is in deep shadow at noon! ( If your home faces north, even though it is in shadow all day, I will create flattering sunlight.)
~ Creative editing can be done! Trees, bushes and flowers can be added, removed, shifted, trimmed – whatever you prefer. Items that detract from the composition such as power lines, cars, etc. are omitted.
~ 4″ x 6″ photos are best and may be sent via regular mail or digitally through e-mail. Photos provided will be returned with artwork.
~ Properties located in the St. Louis area can be photographed by me for a nominal fee if you prefer.
