Watercolor portrait of historic Cabanne House, site of wedding and reception

Just completed on June 5th… a very special custom watercolor portrait of the Cabanne House, a historic building built in 1876 in Forest Park in St. Louis Missouri. This portrait was created to be a gift to our daughter and her new husband to commemorate their wedding on June 7th. The Cabanne House will be the location of their ceremony and reception, and has many beautiful features such as 14 foot ceilings, tall windows, gorgeous gilded chandeliers, decorative marble mantels and a mansard roof characteristic of mid-Victorian architecture. It is truly a beautiful location for a special event.
The artwork includes a special personal touch for the bride and groom… they are portrayed on the front porch in their wedding attire in a sweet embrace! The two figures are less than two inches tall — I used the tiniest brush to depict them! They will be given their portrait during their wedding reception, and I am so happy to give them such a personal and meaningful gift that will be a family heirloom.
