Capture Springtime beauty now in a watercolor house portrait!
For anyone thinking of ordering a custom house portrait in the future, NOW is the perfect time to photograph your home and landscape! Most of the ornamental trees such as redbuds and dogwoods are in full bloom, as well as other early Spring season flowers, and it’s an excellent chance to capture their beauty. The photos you provide me don’t need to be anything fancy — 4″x6″ size are fine and can be sent via regular mail or digitally through e-mail.
Creative editing can definitely be done! Trees, bushes, and flowers can be added, removed, shifted, trimmed — whatever is needed to portray the property in the most aesthetically pleasing way possible for your custom house portrait.
For tips on how to best photograph your home and landscape, please visit “Photo Tips” under the “Ordering” tab on the menu bar above, or call me at 314-892-9221 and I will be happy to help. For properties located in the greater St. Louis area, I am able to photograph your home for a nominal fee if you prefer.

A House Portrait brings another big smile!
I had the pleasure of meeting Michael Fink on March 28th when he picked up the watercolor portrait of his mother’s home — it was great to see the smile on his face when he saw it! His mom’s 89th birthday is coming up in two weeks, and he will be visiting her in Memphis, Tennessee and presenting it to her then. This property became the family home in 1959, and though she lives alone now, she still enjoys it very much! I hope she will be delighted with her custom house portrait and proud to display in her home!

Watercolor portrait of Pembroke Pines, Florida home
Just completed on March 26th … an 8″x 10″ watercolor of a contemporary stucco home in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This home portrait was commissioned by the owners who will be moving soon, and wanted a keepsake of their home to take with them to their new residence. I hope their custom house portrait will be a wonderful and happy reminder of the years spent at this residence! Best wishes to Joe and his wife!

Watercolor portrait of Memphis, Tennessee home
Here’s the newest, just completed on March 20th… an 11″ x 14″ watercolor portrait of a brick ranch in Memphis, Tennessee. The artwork was created at the request of an adult son as a birthday gift for his elderly mother and includes her favorite garden flowers. She has lived in this house for many years, and I hope she will be very touched by the custom home portrait and her son’s thoughtfulness.

Happy recipient of watercolor house portrait gift
It would be great to be present when the recipient of one of my house portraits sees it for the first time, but since that’s usually not possible, seeing photos is the next best thing! This particular watercolor portrait was a gift for Jennifer Walsh, and I could tell by the smile on her face that she was pleased with the portrayal of her lovely property!
