Watercolor portrait of Alabama home
Just completed on July 30th …. a 9″ x 12″ watercolor of a beautiful home in Hartford, Alabama built in the 1920’s. This frame and brick residence has classic, wonderful southern charm… welcoming, wide steps and front porch with fluted columns, and a screened-in room to relax and view the white dogwood trees in the front and side yards. This custom house portrait was commissioned because the house recently sold, and a family member wanted a keepsake of this special property, and I hope it will bring many warm and cherished memories.

Pen and Ink Illustration of Fraternity House on campus of Mizzou
Just completed on July 17th… an 11″ x 15″ pen and ink illustration of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity house on the campus of the University of Missouri – Columbia. To portray this handsome property in a black and white line technique, I used black Pigma Micron pens with various sized tips to create rich detail and shading for a very distinctive look. The artwork was commissioned by the director of the membership board, and my permission was granted to use the image on note cards, letterhead stationary and Christmas cards. I had already created a watercolor portrait of this property back in February for the House Mom, and it was an honor and pleasure to create the pen and ink version this week. It will make a nice addition to the interior when framed and displayed!

Sprawling brick home
Just completed on July 6th…. a 14″ x 24″ watercolor of a sprawling brick ranch on a large lot in Ladue, Missouri. This house portrait was commissioned to be a gift for the homeowners, from their daughter who will married soon. I hope her parents will be delighted with the artwork of their beautiful home and it will always be a reminder of their daughter’s gratitude and love!
