Watercolor of lovely brick home
Just completed on November 5th… a 9″ x 12″ watercolor of a lovely 2-story brick home in Town and Country, Missouri. The owners had lived here for 22 years and recently moved to Connecticut and wished to have a keepsake of their former home. I hope their custom house portrait brings them many warm memories!

Time to choose the recipient of the Gift Certificate!
Several excellent suggestions were sent to me of non-profit groups to consider to receive my final House Portrait Gift Certificate donation of 2015! Thank you so much! I’ve narrowed the suggestions to FOUR CHOICES. Please vote at https://customhouseportraits.com/contact-2/ by NOVEMBER 8th at 6:00 pm CST. Here are the nominees:
ANGEL’S ARMS http://angelsarms.org/, STRAY RESCUE http://strayrescue.org,/, NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS http://www.nami.org/, or FEED MY PEOPLE http://www.feed-my-people.org/
Feel free to share with others! The group that receives the most votes will receive the Gift Certificate valued at $400 for their fundraiser’s Silent Auction! The winner will be posted next week. Thank you for taking the time to vote!

~ HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2015!
Every so often, a client will request something very personal and little different, as this 16″ x 20″ watercolor portrait from a few years ago. The family’s favorite holiday was Halloween, and wanted a fun and whimsical portrayal of their Seattle, Washington home as a haunted house — and I totally enjoyed painting it complete with goblins, witches , ghosts, a skeleton, a black cat and a rat scurrying across the roof at dusk! The family dog in the foreground even has a Halloween hat! I would have liked to be there to see the look on the kid’s faces when their parents showed them the artwork — they must be almost teenagers now, but I hope they still get a kick out of it! Hope you enjoyed seeing this unique portrait from 2010 — have a fun and safe Halloween 2015!
