Watercolor house portrait for winners of donated Gift Certificate
CONGRATULATIONS to MR. and MRS. WILLIAM KIENE, the winners of the Gift Certificate I donated to a fundraiser for Our Lady of Sorrows School last October, and now the proud owners of a watercolor portrait of their St. Louis home! I completed their portrait yesterday, February 29th, and I got the chance to meet them both this morning when they picked up their portrait — it was great to see their smiles when they saw the artwork! They were delighted to see that I portrayed the home with sunlight, because their home faces north and is normally in deep shadow all day… adding the sunshine is more flattering and really makes the property come alive! They are looking forward to getting it framed and hanging it in their home…. they’ve been at this residence for 39 years and I’m sure the custom house portrait will be a special keepsake for them and I was happy to provide it — I love the character of their home! Best wishes to them for many more happy years there!

Special Thanks for photo of framed Hinkle Fieldhouse portrait
Doing what I do, I am fortunate to meet and work with some of the truly nicest people! One such client, Vicki Collar, made me smile yesterday when she sent me a photo of the handsomely framed artwork of the Hinkle Fieldhouse arena along with a heartfelt testimonial of her experience working with me. Vicki and her husband George commissioned me last April to create the 14″ x 22″ portrait as a gift for their son Jonathan, who was about to graduate the pharmacy school from Butler University in Indiana, and I was honored they selected me to portray this magnificent campus building which holds so much meaning for him. Jonathan has since moved to Nashville to complete his residency, and this past weekend, his parents visited him and saw the framed portrait displayed on his wall, and were so thoughtful to share it with me. ( See, I really DO work with the nicest people! ) Best wishes for Jonathan’s success in the medical field, and special thanks to Vicki for giving me permission to share her photo and testimony of her pleasant experience working with me!
” We commissioned Richelle to do a Pen and Ink with Watercolor portrait of Butler University’s Hinkle Fieldhouse as a gift for our son’s graduation from pharmacy school. It will be a lasting memory of his love for the Butler Bulldogs and of his graduation ceremony which took place in the Fieldhouse. Richelle was an absolute delight to work with. Not only is she an extremely talented artist, she is a wonderful person. From the first contact to discuss the details of the project to the beautifully packaged delivery of the finished portrait… professional all the way. She kept us updated on the portrait’s progress by emailing us photos. Her goal is customer satisfaction. We traveled from Michigan to St. Louis ( in a bad snow storm) to view her work in person since this was such an important project for us. As for the quality of her artwork… the website speaks for itself… BEAUTIFUL!!! Thank you Richelle for this special gift for our son.”
Thank you again Vicki and George — it was an honor and pleasure to work with you also!

Watercolor portrait of Henrico, Virginia home
Completed on February 19th, this 9″ x 12″ watercolor portrait of a home in Henrico, Virginia will be a very special and meaningful gift. The property was recently purchased by a young couple who are about to be married , and the groom’s mother thought a home portrait would make a unique and perfect wedding gift! I am honored to provide it, and hope the young couple will be pleased with the portrayal of their new home — including the landscape in full bloom, which they haven’t seen yet! Congratulations and best wishes to both of them and their families!

Happy New Owner of Watercolor House Portrait
Sharing a nice photo of my client, Mrs. Pam Linders, as she proudly holds her new 11″x 14″ watercolor portrait of her family’s property in Saint Louis County. The artwork is a touching tribute to the extensive renovations she and her amazingly skilled husband Jim did to their barn-inspired home many years ago, and will be a lasting keepsake for their family. They are looking forward to selecting the perfect mat and frame, then displaying it in their home — where they will be able to see their landscape portrayed in sunshine and lovely full bloom every day of the year!
