Recipient of Watercolor House Portrait
It’s Christmas in July for Oliver Chrisler and his family!
Oliver was the winner of a Gift Certificate for an 11″ x 14″ watercolor house portrait that I donated to a fundraiser for Bristol Elementary School in the past, and he recently asked that I portray his family’s home in Webster Groves, Missouri where they have resided for the past twelve years. He requested their home be depicted with a Christmas winter scene complete with fresh snow, and the result is absolutely charming! I had the pleasure of meeting Oliver when he picked up the completed artwork, and we chatted about his historic home. Built in 1886, the architectural design is a blend of Queen Anne and Farmhouse, and has undergone extensive renovations both inside and out by Oliver. When I asked what his favorite part of the house is, he said it is the spiral staircase that goes from the first to third floor made of Brazilian cherry wood — quite an impressive feature! I loved portraying this distinctive home, and happily granted permission for Oliver to reproduce the image on their Christmas greeting cards and hope that he and his family enjoy their custom house portrait for many years to come!
My home portraits make unique and meaningful gifts for family, friends, and co-workers any time of the year, but especially for the holidays. I am now taking orders for Christmas 2016 and recommend ordering early because my schedule fills fast every year at this time. For more information, please call 314-892-9221 and I will be happy to answer all your questions! Ordering is easy, and I look forward to creating a beautiful piece of original artwork for you and your loved ones also!

A Wife’s Thoughtful Gift to Husband
Completed on June 28th, the newest custom house portrait is a 9″ x 12″ watercolor of a 2-story residence located in Oakville, a suburb of St. Louis County, Missouri. The artwork was commissioned by a wife as a gift to her husband, who is an avid gardener and takes pride in their home’s landscape that he maintains. I portrayed the front yard in all it’s blooming beauty and hope her husband will be pleased with the portrayal!

Christmas Season Portrayal of Home
It’s Christmas in July — well, almost!
Completed on June 21st, this 11″ x 14″ watercolor portrait portrays the client’s request for a Christmas season depiction of his home in Webster Groves, Missouri. This large, historic residence was built in 1886, and has many interesting architectural details that were a joy to portray and the winter scene with snow was sure a nice distraction from the 95 + degree summer heatwave here in St. Louis! I hope this custom house portrait will be a sweet reminder of many wonderful Christmas holiday celebrations and memories spent at this residence.

House Portrait to Commemorate Paid Mortgage!
I’m always so happy to meet clients when they pick up their portraits, and today, June 17th, I had the pleasure of meeting Judy Bohler, from Fenton, Missouri and a recipient of a house portrait gift certificate. She had me portray her sister’s home in Pacific, Missouri as a birthday gift to commemorate the property’s mortgage recently being paid off — a truly meaningful gift for this milestone achievement! She looks forward to presenting the artwork and knows her sister will be so pleased and I’m sure she will appreciate her kind thoughtfulness!

Framed Portrait of Father’s Childhood Home
It’s wonderful to see my custom house portraits once they are matted and framed, and special thanks go to Matt Mayer for sending me a photo of the watercolor artwork of his father’s childhood home in St. Louis, Missouri I recently portrayed. The warm colors of the double mats and frame complement the brick color of the house so well — very nice job! I hope the home portrait brings great memories of his dad, especially this Father’s Day.
