Watercolor of Family’s Former Home
Completed on February 6th, this 10″ x 16″ watercolor painting depicts a traditional 2-story brick and frame home in Ballwin, Missouri. The artwork was commissioned by the previous owners, who wished to have a memento of the home they lived in when their children were young, and I hope this custom house portrait will bring them many sweet memories every time they view it!

Lovely Framed House Portrait
Very special thanks to Kim R., a recent recipient of a watercolor house portrait given to her as a gift, for sending this photo showing how nicely she framed her artwork! She picked out a beautiful mat and frame, and it’s now proudly displayed on a wall in the living room of her Kansas home. I appreciate her thoughtfulness letting me know she was delighted with her home portrait, and found the perfect place to hang it! I hope the painting brings her joy for many years to come. Thank you, Kim!

Pen and Ink of Tudor Style Home
On January 26th, I put the finishing touches on this 8″ x 10″ Pen and Ink illustration of a handsome English Tudor style residence in University City, Missouri. This custom house portrait was commissioned to be a gift to a young couple for their upcoming wedding — I love the distinctive look and hope they will too! Best wishes to them for many years of happiness in this home!

Very Meaningful House Portrait Gift
This photo was sent to me on January 22, and it made me happy to see it! It’s always wonderful to see the recipients of my house portraits, and very special thanks goes to Sherrie Bull for sending this photo of her husband Steven holding the watercolor painting of his childhood home in Saint Louis, Missouri he received as a gift for Christmas. Steven’s mother had recently passed away, and Sherrie knew he would appreciate a portrait of the longtime family home where he grew up with cherished memories of her. I loved seeing how beautifully the artwork was framed, but it was even better to see the smile on Steven’s face and to know how much the artwork means to him. I hope this custom home portrait brings him fond memories for many years to come!
