Watercolor of Lovely Kentucky Home
Completed on April 30th, this 16″ x 24″ watercolor painting portrays an extraordinary 100+ year old brick residence in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. The artwork was commissioned by homeowners Geoffrey and Jennifer, who wished to capture the beauty of their home of five years. This house was so interesting to depict… the impressive front entryway, curved wrap around porch, and porte cochere laden with wisteria — so gorgeous! This is the second custom house portrait I’ve provided for them… in 2013, I portrayed their former home in Shaker Heights, Ohio — a handsome English Tudor style residence. I hope both home portraits bring them many warm and cherished memories!

Happy Recipient of Custom House Portrait
Special thanks to Claire Shastany for sharing a photo of her husband Ken as he opened the birthday gift she commissioned for him and I recently created — so nice to see the smile it brought! She let me know he loved the 10″ x 12″ Pen and Ink with Watercolor portrait, and I hope it brings great memories of the many years he, Claire, and their children lived in this charming Cape Cod style home in Holliston, Massachusetts. Best wishes to them in their new home!

Watercolor of brick home in Houston, Texas
Completed on April 17th, this 9″ x 12″ watercolor house painting depicts a brick ranch home in Houston, Texas. This home portrait will be a gift to the homeowner from her adult children and I hope she will be surprised and delighted with the portrayal and sweet memories it brings. I enjoyed depicting this house — the play of sunlight and shadows makes the property come alive!

Watercolor Painting of Family’s Former Home
Completed on April 10th, this 9″x 13″ watercolor painting portrays a family’s former longtime home in Saint Louis, Missouri. Siblings commissioned the artwork as a gift to their parents as a touching reminder of the 28 happy years they lived with their seven children in this residence. The home was sold three years ago, and the mom worked directly with me to ensure the property was portrayed the way they want it remembered and I restored the way the landscaping looked when they lived there. I hope the parents will be delighted with their custom house portrait and it gives them many warm memories!
