Watercolor Painting of Home in Town and Country, Missouri
Completed on October 11, this 9″ x 13″ watercolor painting depicts a family’s former home in Town and Country, Missouri, a lovely suburb of Saint Louis. The family had lived here for many years before the parents, Janet and Jesse, downsized from this large home, and their adult children knew a portrait of it would be a perfect gift for them. So they purchased a gift certificate for their mom and dad last Christmas, which allowed them to contact me when they were ready, and work with me directly to ensure their house was depicted exactly how they want it remembered. Janet was so pleased with the portrait that she ordered archival prints to give to their children.

Fall Shopping Bazaar 2017
I enjoyed participating in the Fall Shopping Bazaar on Sunday, October 8 held at the Webster Groves Community Center — it was wonderful to meet and chat with visitors and show my portfolio of watercolor and pen and ink house portrait artwork while helping benefit the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, an organization that has been so much help for a family member. Thanks to all who stopped by my display table and asked questions — I hope to work with you in the future to create a piece of original artwork of a special home!
