Watercolor Painting of Long-Time Home
Completed on November 26, this newest portrait is an 8″ x 10″ watercolor painting of a family’s long-time brick ranch in Bellefontaine Neighbors, a suburb of Saint Louis County, Missouri. The artwork was commissioned by a very thoughtful son and daughter-in-law as a gift to his mother, who has lived in this home for over 65 years and taken such good care of it. She rightly treasures her home, and I hope this custom house portrait will touch her heart with many warm memories!

We Americans have so much to be grateful for as we celebrate this Thanksgiving. Enjoy celebrating this special day with your loved ones and take a moment to reflect on the blessings in your life and how fortunate we are to live in this great country. I am thankful for my family, friends, and being able to provide artwork that brings people joy and good memories. Happy Thanksgiving — enjoy that turkey and pumpkin pie!
Wonderful Fall Shopping Boutique Event!
The Fall Shopping Boutique on November 18th at Mary Queen of Peace was a wonderful event! It was a pleasure to meet everyone that visited my booth, show them my large portfolio of watercolor and pen and ink custom house portraits, answer the questions they had, and discuss future portrait orders for loved ones. I enjoyed hearing many stories about special homes that mean so much to the family members, and I look forward to soon creating several custom house portraits to honor those memories. Special thanks to the organizers of this year’s event, especially Mary Ann Zimmerman — kudos for all the efforts to make this a truly great shopping experience for the visitors and a successful event for all the vendors!
Pen and Ink Portrait of Saint Louis Home
Completed on November 17, this 8″ x 10″ pen and ink illustration depicts an attractive brick and stone home located in a great neighborhood in Saint Louis, Missouri — and very close to where I grew up! This home belongs to a young family who loves their home and enjoys spending time on the front porch — their baby swing and adult swing are included in the artwork and is a sweet, personal touch! This custom house portrait was commissioned by the wife’s mother for a Christmas gift to the family, and will bring great memories when the time comes for them to move on to a larger home in the near future.
