Watercolor of 150 Year Old Illinois Home
This was such an interesting property to portray! Completed on December 2, this 10″ x 18″ watercolor painting depicts a stone residence located in Waterloo, Illinois built in 1868. The artwork was commissioned to be a gift to the homeowners from their daughters to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the home’s construction and includes their barn and child’s playhouse. The family has lived there for many years and I hope this custom house portrait brings wonderful memories to each of them!

The Beautiful Season of Autumn in a Watercolor Painting
This watercolor painting I created a few years ago of a log cabin in Virginia is still one of my favorite depictions of the Autumn season — the dramatic oranges, reds, and golden yellows of the landscape were a joy to portray! The artwork was originally done as a gift from a wife to her husband who loved spending time there, and I hope this custom house portrait gives all who see it the feeling of strolling in the woods and breathing in the fresh, crisp Fall air!
