Watercolor Painting of Cairnwood Estate
This will be such a special and unique wedding gift!
Completed on August 3, this 12″ x 18″ watercolor painting portrays historic Cairnwood Estate in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. This 26,000 sq. foot elegant French chateau inspired property was built in 1895 and is the venue for weddings and other special occasions. This portrait was commissioned to be a gift to the bride and groom for their upcoming marriage there, and I hope it will bring wonderful memories to them both!

Watercolor of a Family’s Long-Time Home
Completed on July 23, this 8″ x 10″ watercolor painting portrays a family’s former long-time home in Saint Louis, Missouri. One of the siblings commissioned the artwork, and it is depicted exactly the way she wanted to remember it, and I hope it makes her smile every time she sees it.
If you have a childhood home you are fond of and want to have an original portrait of it created, I would be honored to provide it. Call (314) 892-9221 to tell me your story and to order.

Historic Fairhaven, Washington
My husband and I just returned on July 16th from a full week in northern Washington state — that area of the Pacific Northwest is quite beautiful this time of year and the temperature is in the mid 70’s — a nice change from the near 100 degree humid temps in Saint Louis! We visited the nearby historic town of Fairhaven – twice – once on a sunny day and again when it happened to be overcast. I enjoyed photographing the old buildings and here are two of my faves. Notice the difference the sunlight makes in the overall visual appeal. This is why I always ask that properties be photographed when the sun is on the front– the play of light and shadow make any building come alive and a more interesting piece of artwork!

Sigma Chi Fraternity House Archival Prints
Special thanks to Jim Robbins of Velham Printing in St. Louis, Missouri for providing the 8.5″ x 11″ fine art reproduction archival prints of the Sigma Chi Fraternity House pen and ink artwork I recently completed. The board members of the fraternity will be offering these for sale to current and alumni members for fundraising purposes and they will make a great memento of their years at this fraternity house on the campus of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Best wishes to each of the members in their studies and careers!
If you would like to do the same for your fraternity or sorority house or another building special to you, call me at 314-892-9221 to discuss your ideas and I’ll be happy to create it.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY 2018 , AMERICA!
From my house to yours, I wish you and your family a very enjoyable July 4th holiday! Today, I am remembering the 56 brave Signers of the Declaration of Independence who risked everything to proclaim to the world their decision to make the American colonies free and independent from Great Britain. Their actions set our new nation on a path to become an exceptional country and a powerful beacon to all who seek liberty and self government. May God continue to bless the USA!
