Another Happy Owner of a House Portrait
Many times my house portraits get shipped out-of-town to the recipients, so it’s always especially nice when local clients pick up their artwork — it’s great to see their smile and joy when seeing their artwork in person! And so it was when Michelle Avanzado, the client for my newly completed portrait, came by to pick up hers. She loved it, and looked forward to selecting a mat and frame and displaying it on a decorative shelf in her family room. I hope the portrayal of her home surrounded in beautiful autumn colors brings many compliments to her and her husband!

Completed on September 15, this 8″ x 12″ custom house portrait of a ranch home in Ballwin, Missouri was created in pen and ink with watercolor. This combination worked perfectly to capture the many details of the property as well as add the beautiful autumn colors the client desired to portray. The inclusion of the beloved dog Max sitting on the front porch was a nice personal touch!

2.) Send your photo(s) via email, snail mail, or photo text message. Be sure to send the view you like best along with any closeup shots you think would be helpful.
3.) When your portrait is complete, the image will be sent for your approval, and your remaining half payment will be due and arrangements made for local pickup or shipping to you.

Watercolor Painting of Stately Kentucky Residence
This beautiful home and landscape were so interesting to portray!
Completed on August 16, this 14″ x 22″ watercolor painting depicts an impressive brick residence situated on nearly five acres in Paducah, Kentucky. Commissioned by the homeowners themselves, this custom house portrait includes their manicured landscape featuring a large fountain in the center, front entry with ornate leaded glass designs above and on the sides of the double doors, graceful arched windows, and two white rocking chairs on the front porch to relax and enjoy the view. It was a joy to portray this property!

Watercolor House Portrait for Gift to Parents
Completed on August 3, this 9″ x 12″ watercolor painting depicts a family’s home of 28 years in Manchester, Missouri and was a gift to the parents from their four grown children. The parents sold the home and downsized many years ago, and their children knew a keepsake portrait of it as it looked when they all lived there would really touch their parent’s hearts. When they saw it yesterday, they were delighted with the portrayal and look forward to displaying it where they live now. I hope it brings many warm memories!
