This 10″ x 16″ watercolor house portrait depicts a handsome brick residence with landscape in full bloom in Rochester, New York and was so interesting to portray. The black wrought iron decorative elements, impressive entryway, and lovely window flower boxes were a joy to render! The artwork painting is a gift from a thoughtful wife to her husband in celebration of his 50th birthday and includes a maple tree with swing — such a sweet, sentimental touch!

What a joy to see how surprised and touched Adrian and Lauren were with their house portrait gift! Depicted in pen and ink with watercolor, this handsome brick home has been their residence for almost five years and it has so much distinctive, interesting character to be proud of. They were very happy with the portrayal — and especially delighted when they saw their beloved brown Labrador sitting on the lawn! Pen and Ink with Watercolor Portrait of Glendale, MO Home
As you know, a custom house portrait makes a unique and meaningful gift for the special occasions of family members — and that includes my own! Last year, for my daughter and son-in-laws wedding anniversary, I portrayed their four bedroom home in a black and white pen and ink illustration and they loved the distinctive look. However, the awesome character of their brick home made me long to see it in color, so I asked if I could add watercolor to the original 2019 illustration — they agreed and it was done on July 24, 2020 and the result looks beautiful, and really makes the property come to life! When my daughter saw it the next day she was so pleased and looked forward to showing her husband and having it framed.
