Pen and Ink with Watercolor Portrait of Glendale, MO Home
As you know, a custom house portrait makes a unique and meaningful gift for the special occasions of family members — and that includes my own! Last year, for my daughter and son-in-laws wedding anniversary, I portrayed their four bedroom home in a black and white pen and ink illustration and they loved the distinctive look. However, the awesome character of their brick home made me long to see it in color, so I asked if I could add watercolor to the original 2019 illustration — they agreed and it was done on July 24, 2020 and the result looks beautiful, and really makes the property come to life! When my daughter saw it the next day she was so pleased and looked forward to showing her husband and having it framed. Framed Portrait of Faith Lutheran Church
The artwork of Faith Lutheran Church looks wonderful in a double mat and black frame and I understand the recipient of the gift, Pastor John Brunette, was very pleased with the portrayal of his church when it was presented to him by staff on June 24th! Portrait of Church for Pastor’s Anniversary Gift
This 12″ x 20″ portrait portrays Faith Lutheran Church in Oakville, just south of Saint Louis, Missouri and was an honor to create. Depicted in pen and ink with watercolor, this portrait will be a gift to the Lead Pastor, John Brunette, to commemorate his 30th anniversary ministering to this congregation. The exterior has a contemporary architectural style, and the stained glass windows inside are truly an inspiration! After adding the hand-rendered inscription with the church’s name at the bottom, I snapped this photo of the artwork before taking it to be matted and framed, and I trust the finished piece will make a meaningful gift for the pastor.
Old Cathedral and Gateway Arch Prints Now Available
The archival prints of the historic Old Cathedral and Gateway Arch turned out beautifully and it was exciting to see mine in this handsome mat and frame! Special thanks to Jim Robbins at Velham Printing for his excellent work reproducing the color and detail of my original pen and ink with watercolor artwork and providing the prints — I could not be more pleased!
