Watercolor Portrait of Home on Historic Old Highway 66
I’m currently working on a watercolor portrait of an interesting home in Arcadia, Oklahoma. It is located on an original stretch of historic Old Highway 66, and was designed to resemble a 1930s vintage, Phillips 66 cottage-style, filling station from decades past. The husband and wife homeowners are both dedicated and passionate advocates for this highway. Husband Jim Ross is a noted Route 66 historian, author and preservationist, and his wife Shellee Graham is an accomplished photographer, graphic designer, and author. Together, they use their talents to inspire interest and promote this historic highway, including its landmarks. I look forward to completing their 9″x 17″ watercolor custom house portrait tomorrow and showing them the image — I think they will be pleased! Watercolor Portrait of New Jersey Beach House
This 13″ x 22″ watercolor portrait of a New Jersey beach house took a bit longer to render but it turned out beautifully. This photo was taken last week — the day before it shipped to my client and it shows the large size of the finished artwork. The recipient was presented it last night and I understand was very pleased — mission accomplished! He and his family are excited to mat and frame it and find a suitable place to hang in their home and I’m sure it will look gorgeous when the framing is complete. I hope this father and his family enjoy this spectacular beach house for many more years to come!

This spectacular beach house was so interesting to portray!
This 13″ x 22″ watercolor painting was commissioned by a daughter and her husband to her father for his 60th birthday. This family’s contemporary and elegantly designed beach property in New Jersey is a place where they and their friends gather many times throughout the year. The artwork even shows a bit of their pool along with outdoor furniture with patio umbrellas that everyone loves to use while enjoying the deck areas! This custom house portrait is a beautiful way to celebrate her father’s success and the memorable times he has with family and friends!

This 10″ x 16″ watercolor portrait of a home in Ballwin, Missouri will bring many sweet memories for my client and her family. She and her husband recently moved to Colorado, and wished to have this portrait to remember their years living here. The mature trees surrounding this home make a lively play of sunshine and shadows — so interesting to portray! Painting of Older Home in Webster Groves, MO
This recently completed 11″ x 15″ watercolor painting depicts an older home in Webster Groves, Missouri and was a joy to portray! The owners purchased the property last fall, and have renovated the exterior to add a screened-in porch and it turned out beautifully. They also added nice landscaping and new sidewalks that invite visitors to the wide front steps. They requested their beloved cat’s face be shown peeking out one of the second story windows — a very special touch! I hope this family enjoys many years in this residence!
