This 9″ x 13″ watercolor portrait portrays a charming home in Salt Lake City, Utah and will be a gift to a young couple. They recently purchased the home, and my clients thought a portrait of it would make a wonderful gift for their son and his wife. The artwork includes their rattan table and chairs and porch swing and I hope they will have many days and nights of enjoyment and relaxation. The parents look forward to presenting the artwork during the holidays when the couple visits and I look forward to hearing how they like it!
Watercolor Portrait of the Bracken House
This 16″ x 25″ watercolor portrait portrays the beautiful Bracken House, a stately residence located in Muncie, Indiana. Located near the campus of Ball State University, it is home to the university’s president, Geoffrey Mearns and his wife, Jennifer. Built in 1937 by Alexander and Rosemary Bracken, this 8,600 square foot Georgian Revival style home was donated to Ball State University by Bracken family members in 1998. Since then, this impressive home has been the location for many receptions, dinners, and other special Ball State events. The gorgeous, welcoming entryway and rounded bow windows with ornate trim were so interesting to depict! For more information on the history of this extraordinary property, click here.

This may only be early September, but I’m now taking house portrait orders for Christmas! If you wish to give one for a gift, NOW is the time to order! - Send your photo(s) and 50% deposit payment. ( If the home is in the greater St. Louis area, I can take the photos for a nominal fee if you prefer.)
- When the house portrait is complete, the image will be sent for your approval, then the remaining balance will be due and arrangements made for artwork pickup or shipping to you.

Watercolor Portrait of Family’s Home for Meaningful Gift
This 9″ x 14″ watercolor portrait of a family’s long-time home in St. Louis County, Missouri will be a meaningful gift from my client Michelle to her husband. His parents owned the home for 56 years until it was recently sold, and he and his siblings share so many good memories of this lovely brick ranch. Michelle plans to have giclee prints made for her husband’s siblings and give as Christmas gifts — a very thoughtful thing to do! Portrait Of A Home In Algonquin, Illinois
This portrait of a home in Algonquin, Illinois was a joy to create! The 11″ x 17″ pen and ink with watercolor artwork depicts the new home of a very special newlywed couple and is my wedding gift to them. I wanted to give them something really special, and a custom house portrait of their newly built home is the perfect gift! The home was built towards the end of 2022, and we were just waiting for the landscape to be in full summer bloom.
