Watercolor portrait of Illinois home

Here’s the very first house portrait of 2015, just completed on January 2nd…. an 8″ x 10″ watercolor of a darling white frame home in Illinois! Though the photo I worked from was taken in the winter, I portrayed the homeowner’s landscape in full bloom — all her favorite flowers and trees are depicted! The artwork also includes the owner’s beloved orange cat — a sweet personal touch! This portrait was commissioned by a very thoughtful daughter and son for a gift to their mother, and I hope the recipent will be delighted with her custom house portrait — I enjoyed portraying her home for her!
